The Pierre Boulez Saal at the Barenboim-Said Akademie provides the audience an intimate and engaging experience. The auditorium was finished in 2015 and is based on a design by Frank Gehry. Today pianist Nathalia Milstein performs a piece by Franz Liszt.

Yamen Saadi performs Salut d'Amour at the Pierre Boulez Saal with Nathalia Milstein on the piano. Composer Sir Edward Elgar wrote this piece in 1888 as an engagement present for his fiancée Caroline Alice Roberts.

Last year Alexander Warenberg (18) won the Cello Biënnale 2016 competition in Amsterdam. Congratulations Alexander! We celebrate his win with another video we recorded with him a few months ago at TivoliVredenburg. Of course we followed Alexander backstage during the finals.
